I'm a clinical psychologist specializing in women's mental health, relationships, and trauma — and a writer. Both crafts are about paying close attention to what it means to be human.
About Mijal
I'm a clinical psychologist and a writer, and my work centers on women's mental health, relationships, and trauma. The two crafts grew from the same root — a fascination with what it means to be human, and a belief that careful attention, whether in conversation or on the page, can change how we live.
I trained in clinical psychology and have spent the last several years in private practice, supporting people through anxiety, burnout, relationship strain, and the quieter questions of who we are and what we need. My approach is integrative — cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, attachment-informed — but the relationship we build is always the heart of the work.
I also write. My essays explore the same terrain as my practice — the nervous system, intimacy, rest, and the parts of being human that don't fit neatly into a diagnosis. Writing is where I think out loud, and where the work of the consulting room reaches further than a single session can.
I work in both English and Spanish, in person in Madrid and online, and I write in both languages too. Two practices, equal in weight, that feed each other every day.
